Common questions
How does a bulk edit work?
Choose products with filters (collection, vendor, tag, price, stock, metafield…), then what should change. The first changes show right away. “Prepare all changes” works out every change in your whole store and lists them; nothing is written until you press Apply.
Can I undo a job?
Yes, every job. Before a job runs, the values it replaces are saved. “Undo this job” prepares the reverse changes and shows them first. Values someone changed after the job are left as they are and listed. Stock is undone as a difference, so sales made since are kept. Free keeps backups for 7 days, Pro and Pro+ for 90.
Can an import delete my variants?
No. Imports and sheet syncs only update the fields your file names, product by product; a variant missing from the file stays in your store. Variants are deleted only by the “Delete variants” action in a bulk edit, after two confirmations, and Undo recreates them (with new IDs).
My file has errors. Does the whole import fail?
No. Each row with a problem is left out with a sentence saying why (“Row 14: price ‘twelve’ isn’t a number”), the good rows go ahead, and you can download the left-out rows as a file with an “Error” column to fix and import again.
Which files work?
CSV (comma, semicolon or tab; UTF-8 or older Excel encodings) and Excel .xlsx. Shopify’s own product CSV works as it is. Column names are matched loosely and you can map any column by hand; the app remembers your choices for the next file of the same shape. Files up to 100 MB; Excel files up to 15 MB (save bigger ones as CSV).
How do scheduled jobs work?
On Pro+, build an edit and choose “Later”. At the start the app works out the changes from your store as it is then and applies them; at the end it undoes exactly those. Home shows a red line if one is late or Shopify refused it.
How does the Google Sheets sync work?
On Pro+, connect Google once: the app creates a sheet with your products (it can’t see anything else in your Drive). Edit it; at each sync the sheet’s changes become a job you can check and apply, and Shopify’s changes are written into the sheet. When both changed the same cell, Shopify’s value wins in the sheet and the sync says so. Syncs run when you press Sync, or every hour, 6 hours or day.
Does the size of my catalog change the price?
No. Pro is $9.99 a month for any number of products; big jobs are handed to Shopify’s own bulk system. Free covers 50 products per job.
